Supermarket for snacks and drinks, pharmacies, money changers with decent rates, a cinema, arcades for the kids, and floor after floor of food — from kopitiam breakfasts to Korean BBQ dinners. Most shops run 10am–10pm daily.
Around the block
Taman Abad and nearby Jalan Serampang are lined with the restaurants JB locals actually eat at — bak kut teh, banana leaf rice, seafood dai chow, and 24-hour mamak stalls for late-night roti canai. Reflexology and massage shops cluster around the mall and stay open late; a full-body massage here costs a fraction of Singapore prices.
Practical bits
Grab pickup is easiest at the hotel lobby entrance. The city centre, CIQ checkpoint and Mid Valley Southkey are all within a 10–15 minute ride. If you're driving, the building has covered parking.
